A referred space where those in Years 7, 8 and 9 can come and be themselves.
Who is Renew HG1 YP for?
Renew HG1 YP is a referred service specifically designed to support young people in School Years 7, 8 and 9 who:

Lack self-confidence

Are anxious

Find it hard to make friends

Feel uncomfortable in a social environment

Often express feelings of loneliness

Have low self-esteem

Struggle with their mental or emotional wellbeing
Our weekly session offers low-level support and falls under the Getting Advice section within the NHS iThrive model framework. Students can access the session via their school or other local organisations that refer directly to us.
Sadly, we are unable to accept walk-ins on the day or anyone who hasn’t been referred through the official channels. This is to keep the session safe and make it as beneficial as possible to those who need it most. If you’d like to know more about our referral process please get in touch.

What happens at Renew HG1?
At every session those who attend will be able to access:
Cold drinks, hot chocolate and snacks
Table tennis and games
Something arty if they are feeling creative
A quiet area if they just want to chill
Time and space to work on personal wellbeing and development
Where & When?
The free weekly hour and a half session can be accessed by referral only. It will run straight after school on Tuesdays (open from 3.30 pm) at Harrogate Baptist Church Community Hall which is right opposite the Odeon cinema. Our central location is accessible from all Harrogate secondary schools.
